My Dream Job Paragraph

My first day of high school was a little overwhelming. My heart was thumping, and my legs were quivering. I was ecstatic yet anxious. I was both happy and apprehensive to see all of my friends after what felt like a lengthy summer vacation. Despite the fact that I was pleased to see all of my pals, I couldn’t help but consider which classes I would take. Most junior girls think about fashion, while most sophomore boys are concerned with cars and sports (or whatever they’re into).

I, on the other hand, was thinking about my future and what I wanted to do with my life. One of my good friends, Kaitlyn, walked up to me and asked me what classes I was taking. As I told her, she looked at me with a confused look on her face. She told me that I should not be worrying about college and career while I am still in high school. She said that I should enjoy my time in high school because it goes by so fast. At first, I did not believe her but now I know that she was right.

It is crazy how time flies by so quickly. It feels like only yesterday that I was starting high school and now I am already halfway done with my senior year. I have learned so much over the past four years and I am grateful for everything that high school has taught me. If I could go back and change anything, I would not take Kaitlyn’s advice and worry about my future from the very beginning. I would have started looking into colleges and careers sooner because it is never too early to start planning for your future.

If you are a high school student who is reading this, my best advice to you is to start thinking about your future as soon as possible. Don’t wait until your senior year to start researching colleges or careers.

On the one hand, I was imagining all of the interesting things that I’d be able to do as a freshman. On the other hand, I was more concerned with passing high school at the top of my class because this is where true adulthood begins. My heart pounded faster and butterflies danced in my stomach as I approached the classroom doors.

I walked in and found my seat. After a few minutes, the teacher walked in and began to introduce herself. She told us her name was Ms. Ramirez and she would be our social studies teacher for the year.

The first day of high school is always full of mixed emotions. As I look back on my first day of high school, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. It feels like only yesterday that I was nervously walking into my freshman year classroom not knowing what to expect. On one hand, I was thinking about all the fun, exciting, and new activities that would take place as a freshman. On the other hand, I was more concerned about passing high school at the top of my class because this is where the real world begins. As I reached the classroom doors, my heart raced faster and butterflies began to flutter in my stomach.

I walked in and found my seat. After a few minutes, the teacher walked in and began to introduce herself. She told us her name was Ms. Ramirez and she would be our social studies teacher for the year. The first day of high school is always full of mixed emotions. But looking back, I’m so glad I made it through that first day because it only got better from there. High school flew by and before I knew it, I was off to college.

In college, I pursued my dream of becoming a doctor. It was a lot of hard work but it was worth it in the end. I’m now a certified physician and I couldn’t be happier. If you had told me on my first day of high school that this is where I would be, I wouldn’t have believed you. But it just goes to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. So, to all the students out there who are starting their journey in high school, believe in yourselves and never give up on your dreams.

I took a big breath as though I was getting ready to go on stage in front of millions of people before I approached the crimson door with the tall, black lettering reading “Welcome Freshmen.” Filled with fear inside my skin, I twisted the bronze doorknob and walked through the open door. The class appeared to be quiet at first, but it was actually full of at least twenty-five freshmen talking to one another. The first empty desk that I could see was where I sat down.

I placed my black backpack on the floor and took out my spiral notebook and a pen from my backpack. Next, I put my backpack on the desk. The teacher walked into the room and closed the door. She introduced herself as Mrs. Ziegler, but told us to call her Mrs. Z.

For the next fifty minutes, we learned about what we should expect during high school such as homework, projects, exams, and social activities outside of school. We also talked about college and how it would be different than high school. After class ended, I walked out of the room with a new perspective of high school and college. Before that day, I thought that high school would be hard work with no fun mixed in between. I also thought that college would be a piece of cake.

Now, I know that high school will be challenging, but there will also be fun times with friends and classmates. College will also be tough, but it will be worth it in the end because I will be one step closer to achieving my dream job. So, for all of you who are about to enter high school or college, don’t forget that these next few years are just a stepping stone to your future career. Embrace the challenges and enjoy the ride!
